Brisbane, Queensland

Capital city of Queensland…

Our final leg of the holiday was in Brisbane, Queensland. What a lusciously green city! I enjoyed the city-living in our condo over-looking the Botanic Gardens. We were able to walk to all amenities and attractions.

Exploring the city…

We had plans to leave Brisbane and venture to Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo and Fraser Island, but the city offered enough sights for us to partake in and we were happy enough just staying put for a while. We did a fair bit of walking around the CBD, enjoyed the most delicious Portuguese tarts from a local market and spent a day at the Queensland Museum and Science Centre.

Brisbane is situated along the Brisbane River. The city has a great public transport system including trains, buses and the river ferry. We took a river cruise and enjoyed lunch and live music on the boat.

The weather in Brisbane was warmer than Sydney and it was a lot less busy. I would rate Brisbane as one of my favourite cities for all the green space. Back to Perth, after a 6 hour flight.
